Associazione D'Idee Onlus set up an event on the main downtown road,
Corso Carducci, in Grosseto, with a distribution of literature on the
subject of the brutal exploitation of cows and calves by the dairy
industry and against any meat consumption, a photographic exhibition and
the display of video clips on the condition of animals in farms, their
life during transportation, their end once at the slaughterhouse.
As the evening darkness progressed on the day, a number of video clips
were projected onto the natural screen represented by the facade of a
building opposite the spot we were on.
We, as a free association of activists, do organize this type of events
in town on a regular basis, differentiating the specific subject on
offer each time.
We seem to manage and gain a lot of attention from the passer-byes, as
we do most of the times, and many of them came approaching our table as
to make a donation, to pick up leaflets, engage in improvised debates,
to exchange details, this is also the way by which our group of
militants has raised in the last 12 months of activities.
We shall be happy to include any Meat Abolition Initiative in our
programme of continued campaigns each time so to contribute locally to
increase the population's awareness on these matters.
Here in Grosseto we often set up musical events with our own soundsystem
( TECHNOTERRA SOUNDSYSTEM ) and in collaboration with other groups in
the attempt of spreading the Vegan lifestyle to even a greater number
of sympathetic people that may be interested in the ideas that animate
us all .
