The World Week for the Abolition of Meat (WWAM) was celebrated in downtown Lisbon, Portugal on the 29th of January 2012. It involved the participation of 15 people, which included members of the Associação Vegetariana Portuguesa ("Portuguese Vegetarian Association") and volunteers. Around 1,000 flyers about the WWAM and about vegetarianism were handed out and we had an information stand.

2 volunteers dressed-up in cow and chicken costumes were able to attract people's attention, engage them in conversation and even took several pictures with both adults and children. We consider this WWAM action in Lisbon a complete success.
