A dozen activists from FUDA, AVF (French Vegetarian Association), L214 and DDA Sud gathered in Montpellier (France) with information stands on vegan education and animal rights and the necessity of eliminating meat and other animal products from our diet. Over 3000 flyers were distributed for the abolition of meat as well as many signatures gathered on petitions. We also did a little bit of street theater by reversing the roles. Animals were therefore (pretending to be) eating humans, in order to show visually to people the cruelty of killing animals and their suffering. We had a large number of people who stopped by to talk to us, give us support, ask questions. A lot were in fact already vegetarian or vegan and others were making a transitional effort in their lives towards veganism in rejection of animal cruelty.
