We are promoting, on a volunteer and independent basis, the demand for the abolition of the production and consumption of animal flesh throughout the world; that is to say, the prohibition of products that come from hunting, fishing and farming because they require the exploitation, suffering and death of sentient beings.
Join activists throughout the world for the January 2012 WWAM and hold actions to raise awareness for the abolition of meat!

We are Animal Rights Team West Japan, and
organized the Meat Abolish campaign in Kyoto, Japan on 28 Jan 2012.
Please see our report with many photos & videos from this link:

Activists who were wearing costumes of chickens, cows and other animals
displayed panels, distributed leaflets and walked around Kyoto city
with "No meat" panels to let people know: "What is the Abolition of Meat?/ Why Abolish Meat?".
We attracted people's attention and many of them had an interest in the meat industry.
After the campaign, we went to "Kyoto Vegan Party" at Vegans Cafe and Restaurant in Fujinomori, Kyoto.
Amazingly, this restaurant had been a grilled meat restaurant for 11 years,
however, the owner and his family became aware of the suffering of animals behind the food industry and decided to turn their business into a Vegan restaurant.
We, Animal Rights Team West Japan will continue to take actions
for suffering animals, our conscience and our sustainable planet.

Because meat production involves killing the animals that are eaten,
because their living conditions and slaughter cause them to suffer,
because eating animal products isn't necessary,
because sentient beings must not be mistreated or killed unnecessarily;
therefore, farming, fishing and hunting, as well as selling and eating animal products, have to be abolished.
