We are promoting, on a volunteer and independent basis, the demand for the abolition of the production and consumption of animal flesh throughout the world; that is to say, the prohibition of products that come from hunting, fishing and farming because they require the exploitation, suffering and death of sentient beings.
Join activists throughout the world for the January 2012 WWAM and hold actions to raise awareness for the abolition of meat!

On Saint-Sulpice Church square, CLEDA organized a mourning action for the animals in order to call for the abolition of meat. They mourned the hundreds of billions of
animals that are killed each year for human consumption. The figures are
alarming and chilling... The demonstration took place as part of the World
Week for the Abolition of Meat (WWAM), in front of an unfortunately small
number of people. However, we did get attention from a number of people
arriving for church. Some took pamphlets, and some shared their
impressions. We will no doubt organize another similar demonstration in the weeks or months to come, but in
a more frequented place. Many thanks to the activists, who withstood the icy
wind. Click on the url to see additional photos and a video of the event.
Because meat production involves killing the animals that are eaten,
because their living conditions and slaughter cause them to suffer,
because eating animal products isn't necessary,
because sentient beings must not be mistreated or killed unnecessarily;
therefore, farming, fishing and hunting, as well as selling and eating animal products, have to be abolished.
