Der zehnte Welttag zut Abschaffung von Fleisch findet am 26. Januar statt! Macht mit und organisiert Protestaktionen! Kündigt Eure Aktionen an, veröffentlicht Eure Initiativen!
– Der 8. Marsch zur Schließung aller Schachthäuser wird Anfang Juni in Dutzenden Städten weltweit starten. In meisten Städten am 8. Juni. Sie wird auch im März in der südlichen Hemisphäre stattfinden.
– Beteiligen wir uns auch am 2. Welttag für das Ende der Fischerei am 30. März!
Dieser Welttag für das Ende der Fischerei wird zum Anlass genommen, um konzertierte Protestaktionen gegen Fischerei und Aquakultur weltweit zu führen. Dabei wird die Ausbeutung von Fischen, Kopffüßern und Krustentieren in Vordergrund gestellt. Sie stellen fast die gesamten für Ihr Fleisch geschlachteten Tiere dar: zwischen 1000 und 3000 Milliarden Fische und noch mehr Krustentiere werden jedes Jahr massakriert.
– Am 24. August wird der Welttag für das Ende der Spezisismus den Schwerpunkt auf die Schlachthöfe und die Fischerboote, die ländliche und aquatische Zucht legen, um ihr Verbot zu verlangen.
Fordern wir die Schließung der Schlachthöfe und die Abschaffung der Tierausbeutung!
Gestalten wir eine sanftere und gerechtere Zukunft für die Tiere.

– Beteiligen wir uns auch am 1. Welttag für das Ende der Fischerei am 25. März!

Marches for the Closing down of all slautherhouses
June 2016
The 5th edition of the March To Close All Slaughterhouses will be held in 15 cities around the world.
Let's take part! Let's organize events!
We will hold a peaceful march to demand the closure of all slaughterhouses and to end the violence that we inflict on non-human animals. It is time now to demand, loud and clear, the end of animal slavery and the abolition of all practices that cause them the most harm: breeding, fishing and slaughter.
Why we are demanding the closing down of all slaughterhouses?
* BECAUSE meat production involves killing the animals that are eaten; *
BECAUSE their living conditions and slaughter cause them to suffer; *
BECAUSE eating animal products isn’t necessary; *
BECAUSE sentient beings must not be mistreated or killed unnecessarily;
Therefore, farming, fishing and hunting have to be abolished.

Wir setzen uns dafür ein, dass die Herstellung und der Konsum von Fleisch verboten werden!
Nehmen Sie teil am siebten Welttag zur Abschaffung von Fleisch am 30. Januar 2016, sowie an den vorgesehenen Aktionen rund um diesen Tag in der Weltwoche zur Abschaffung von Fleisch vom 23. bis 31. Januar 2016!
Seit Januar 2009 fanden weltweit über tausend verschiedene Aktionen in mehr als 40 Ländern der fünf Kontinente statt, um das Ende des Fleischkonsums zu fordern.
Seit Juni 2012 wurden in immer mehr Ländern, jeweils im Juni und Juli, Märsche organisiert für die Schließung der Schlachthäuser (und der schwimmenden Schlachthäuser, der Fischerboote).
Bekunden wir öffentlich, dass der Verzehr von Fleisch von sensiblen Lebewesen keine Privatsache ist, sondern eine Frage von Moral und Gerechtigkeit! Die Herstellung und der Verzehr von Fleisch (und anderen tierischen Produkten) sind moralisch nicht vertretbar; in Hinsicht auf die immensen Leiden, die die Tiere erdulden, müssen sie so schnell wie möglich von der Gesellschaft abgeschafft werden!
Das Verteilen von Flugblättern, welche diese Abschaffung verlangen, ein Infostand über das Verbot der Herstellung und des Konsums von Fleisch, ein Artikel oder eine Sendung im Fernsehen, eine Konferenz, eine Aktion, ein Marsch… alles ist erwünscht, um die Idee für dieses Verbot zu verbreiten!
Tausende Milliarden von Fischen und anderen Wassertieren, hunderte Milliarden von Landwirbeltieren, sind von der Dringlichkeit unseres Kampfes betroffen. Die Zahlen sind immens, erschütternd.
Wir haben, im Gegensatz zu ihnen, die Möglichkeit zu reagieren und zu handeln !
Zögern wir nicht : jeder von uns, allein, zusammen, kann auf seine Weise etwas beitragen während dieses Welttages und der Weltwoche für die Abschaffung des Fleischkonsums!

Eine wirklich traurige Feststellung: Die allermeisten Tiere werden der Fleischgewinnung wegen ausgebeutet und ausgerechnet ihr Schicksal bleibt extrem unbekannt. Es ist an uns Aktivisten die Lebensumstände und das schreckliche Schicksal dieser Tiere an die Öffentlichkeit zu bringen sowie zu fordern, dass das Abschlachten ein Ende nimmt. Es ist an uns auf die moralische Verpflichtung hinzuweisen, dass die Ausbeutung der Tiere die zur Fleischgewinnung dienen gestoppt werden muss.
Die nächste Weltwoche zur Abschaffung von Fleisch (WWAF) findet zwischen 24. und 31. Januar 2015 statt.
Ziel der WWAM ist es unermüdlich die Idee voranzutreiben, dass die Produktion und der Konsum von Tierfleisch abgeschafft werden muss.
Und wir werden so lange aktiv sein bis diese Forderung erfüllt ist.
Unsere Gesellschaften müssen dazu Stellung beziehen, dass es aus ethischen Gesichtspunkten ungerechtfertigt ist Fleisch zu konsumieren. Und zwar weil Fleischkonsum bedeutet, dass die grundlegendsten Interessen zahlloser empfindungsfähiger Lebewesen ignoriert werden und das obwohl es unnötig ist Fleisch zu essen.
Es geht darum laut und deutlich zu sagen, dass es nicht nur die Pflicht jedes Einzelnen ist die mörderische Ausbeutung, bedingt durch Konsum von Tierfleisch und tierlichen „Nebenprodukten“ nicht mehr zu unterstützen. Sondern es geht auch darum, dass deshalb unsere Gesellschaft als ganzes sich dafür ausspricht Tierzucht, Fischen und Jagen zu verbieten.
Wenn Ihr heute unsere gemeinsame Sache vorantreiben wollt, könnt Ihr:
1) Aktionen für die kommende WWAM planen und diese auf das Form ankündigen. Das ist essentiell für die Öffentlichkeitsarbeit und zudem findet Ihr hier entsprechendes Material.
2) diesen Aufruf veröffentlichen, weit streuen sowie in den Indymedias der verschiedenen Städte in Eurem Land platzieren. (Bitte informiert uns über Eure Publikationen indem Ihr uns ein Mail schickt an contact(at)meat-aboliton.org.)
3) die Medien über die Forderung nach Abschaffung von Fleisch informieren und auf die entsprechenden Aktionen hinweisen.
4) Flyers (hier, auf Englisch) und Broschüren (auch auf Englisch) drucken und verteilen.
5) uns das Logo Eurer Gruppe zuschicken (max. 150 Pixel Länge und Breite) so dass wir es auf der Teilnehmerseite veröffentlichen können.
6) Beiträge zu diesem Thema machen (so z.B. Textanalysen, Fiktionen, Gedichte, Zeichnungen, Filme, Performances, Banners etc.). Diese können eventuell auf der Webseite veröffentlicht werden.

Concern for animals is growing in all countries throughout the world.
Yet, never before had so many sentient beings been killed for food.
We are depleting the seas and monopolising most of the land area.
We constantly impose unspeakable suffering on the animals of this planet.
At the same time, an ever growing number of us refuse to collaborate in the gigantic machine of death.
When hundreds of billions of lives are at stake, we must now do more than refuse to collaborate:
we must refuse this constant butchery, we must demand an end to the massacre, we must clamour for abolition!
We demand the abolition of the production and consumption of animal flesh throughout the world !
We demand the prohibition of the products of hunting, fishing and livestock farming, because they involve the exploitation, suffering and death of sentient beings.
Let’s organise actions everywhere,

We are calling on you to organise and announce here any actions that you consider useful so that we can work together to bring closer the day when no animal will be unnecessarily killed to be used for food.

because eating animal products isn't necessary,

People who oppose bull-fighting do not only ask individuals to boycott bull-fighting events; they ask for bull-fighting to be banned.
The opponents of foie gras do not only advise people against buying it, they want force feeding to be banned.
Spontaneous changes in consumer behaviour are not sufficient to put an end to the butchery.
We demand the prohibition of products that come from hunting, fishing and farming
because they require the exploitation, suffering and death of sentient beings.

Billions suffer this fate each year around the world.
They represent 99.99% of exploited animals.
The machines that torture and kill them reside out of sight from our daily lives.
Do we see them when we look at the small pieces on our plates or in shrink-wrapped trays?
Billions of sentient beings are killed and made invisible.
We have the power to make their miserable lives and fate visible.
We have a duty to raise awareness of the ways in which their slaughtering can be stopped.
Just as for eggs and milk, the production and consumption of animal flesh must be abolished.
Abolish the murder of animals for their flesh!
Let's redouble our efforts during the next World Week of actions for the Abolition of Meat (WWAM) from 18 to 26 May 2013!
The demand for the abolition of meat is a political claim: just like activists did for the abolition of slavery, we are addressing this demand to our fellow citizens.
Spontaneous changes in consumer behaviour are not sufficient to put an end to the butchery.
The activities which cause major harms to others do not belong to the liberty of individuals. It is up to society to abolish them by law.
Just like the Veggie Pride in Geneva (18 May 2013) and Marches for the Closing of Slaughterhouses in Paris, Toulouse, Toronto and Istanbul (15 June 2013), let's intensify our actions around the world and give them visibility by posting them here!
We must continue the fight for as long as it takes!

We'd like to remind you that the next World Week for the Abolition of Meat (WWAM) will take place between January 19 and January 27, 2013.
Many public events will mark the World Day for the Abolition of Meat celebrated on 26 January.
Preparation for this campaign is on its way, and we're hoping that, like previous years, numerous actions will be organised simultaneously throughout the world.
We are working to prepare the population to respond to a moral imperative – a minimum requirement of justice – by abolishing the practices which cause the most suffering and death: the consumption of animal flesh (particularly fish, who make up the majority of these victims).
Therefore, we call on you to participate in this new global campaign of actions!
